IZETTE FELTHUN
PRESENCE
13 AUGUST - 3 SEPTEMBER 2016
10AM - 4PM WEDNESDAY TO SUNDAY (& BY APPOINTMENT)
OPENING 2 – 4PM SATURDAY 13 AUGUST 2016
We are delighted to have Trisha Dean, Head Teacher of Ceramics, The Northern Institute of TAFE Hornsby Campus, to officially launch the exhibition at 2pm, Saturday 13 August 2016.
This is Izette Felthun’s second solo exhibition at Mu Studio Gallery.
“I have always felt a great sense of joy and fulfilment in working with clay. My vessel sculptures are simplified to accentuate the essence of the figure. The juxtaposition of line and softer curves invites the eye to engage with the sculptural aesthetics of the form.”
Izette Felthun is a Sydney based artist and educator. She studied BA (Creative Arts) at University of Stellenbosh, South Africa. After immigrating to Australia, Izette completed an Advanced Diploma in Ceramics at The Northern Sydney Institute TAFE, Hornsby Campus NSW.
