Kousyu Maki is one of Japan’s master potters. He has been exhibiting since 1992 and has engaged in many exhibitions in Japan, Germany and now at Mu Studio Gallery, Australia. His work is held in hundreds of private collections in Japan and throughout the world.
This exhibition includes two types of pottery. Firstly, Joseon porcelain style (dating from the Joseon Dynasty of Korea) characterized by white, hakeme and Mishima-slip techniques. Secondly, pottery created through natural anagama wood carbonization firing.
