10AM TO 4PM (DATE IN 2020 TBA)

Visit Artists in their studios & art schools

(date in 2020 to be advised) all studios will be open to visitors and works can be purchased directly from the artists.

The Headland Artists are a thriving artistic community situated in a cluster of historic military buildings, overlooking the entrance to Sydney Harbour at Georges Heights in Mosman.

Once the home of the Borogegal people, for almost 150 years the headland was a strategic military post used for the protection of Sydney Harbour with fortifications and barracks.

Now the old army buildings have been converted into the Headland Park Artist Precinct, with 20 working artists’ studios, 3 art schools, Coburn’s art conservation and the Mu Gallery, with painters, sculptors, potters and photographers work together as a community.

Surrounding the artists’ studios are bush-walking tracks with dappling water views, historic fortifications and the delightful Frenchy’s Café.
