Barbara Campbell-Allen is a ceramic artist working in the subtle world of long wood fired ceramics.
In this exhibition, Barbara Campbell-Allen explores the illusory quality of clouds in these works following her experience in the vast desert landscapes of Uzbekistan and the skies of western NSW. Surfaces evocative of vivid sunsets and ethereal cirrus and altocumulus, these almost edgeless forms reflect the transient nature of our experience. The perception of each piece changes as we look at both sides, each with the same form but different surface.
